Performance Skirt

This dress is so beautiful! I am a longtime fan of AprilJ so I was thrilled to get to purchase this skirt she designed. I purchased in store and am glad I did - sizing was a bit off and it runs large. I am usually a true 3X and bought this in a 2X and fit comfortably in a 1X. I recommend sizing down.

My trick is that I rarely wear it as a skirt, but as a comfy petticoat to floor out other dresses and increase the twirl factor! It’s pictured here beneath my Vera dress.

I'm normally very wary of white skirts/pants - I don't trust myself to not mess them up. But when I saw this skirt I knew I had to try it. And I'll just have to deal with finding a way to keep it clean because this skirt is dreamy! It's lined so your undergarments won't show through and the lining gives the skirt a good weight that perfect for twirling (but not too heavy). The elastic in the back means there's some give in the skirt, but not having the elastic all the way around makes the skirt overall look more elegant and tailored. Wearing it I feel like I'm in the 2023 Little Mermaid (which had more of a Caribbean feel than the cartoon). Also - I don't think it's mentioned in the description, but these do have pockets!
