I bought the white/blue/brown fall Hailey and loved the fit so much that I knew I was going to get this dress in the burgundy/wine color as well. I am tall (5'9"), but I personally didn't find this dress to be too short for me, and I've worn it to work in a professional setting without any issues, but I do recognize that it is short! I like pairing this with black tights and knee high boots and have worn this several times already. I did opt to size down from L to M for the smocking, but the neckline on this isn't stretchy like the waist and the rest of the bodice, so definitely take that into consideration when deciding whether to size down or stick with your regular zippered size.

This dress is super cute! I was able to size down because of the stretch in the bust. I went to the showroom today and bought it in another pattern. Love it.

I am usually a medium and sized down to a small for a more snug fit. I love wearing this with tall boots and fleece-lined leggings! I might get the Hailey Dress since it’s the same style/fitting
