Sweetheart Dress

This dress is absolutely lovely. It is a beautiful shade of deep blue. I love how twirly it is. I felt like a princess. My only complaint is the fit. It seemed too short in the shoulders making the waist rise up to just beneath my bust, rather than at my waistline. I like an empire waist, but because this dress is so poofy, I hardly had a waist at all. The chest area was also very tight, even though I had returned the original and got a bigger size. I generally wear a 1x, but had to return it for a 2x, and it was still very tight in the chest. I wear a 38J, so maybe that is the problem. Still, overall, it is an absolutely beautiful dress.

Based on the size guide I went with the next size up from an XL to a XXL for reference I am 5’2” and a 42” bust, 38” waist and a 49” hip. The dress sat right above my ankles vs midi length but I was happy with that. When I received the dress I was absolutely thrilled. The embroidered flowers are so beautiful. There was some trouble with the zipper getting caught/stuck when I went to try it on and I was lucky enough that there was just enough room to be able to put the dress on without unzipping it because I didn’t want to take the chance of the zipper getting stuck or breaking. I also didn’t realize that the bows on the straps are in a fixed position (they’re sown on to the straps over your shoulders) so you can’t adjust them. I did have to constantly all night have to lift them up cause they kept not sitting evenly on my shoulders. I received so many compliments when I wore this dress. Overall I would recommend the Margaret dress, I wore it for our civil ceremony/wedding. I felt so beautiful. I hope this review is helpful (:
