The Artist Edit
Seven works from four centuries, hung next to the dresses they started. Klimt's gold, Monet's poppies, Degas's dancers, a Versailles ceiling and a tapestry woven around 1500. Each room pairs the painting with the piece we cut from it.

The Arabella in Gold
Klimt laid real gold leaf over oil paint. The Arabella answers in crushed gold jacquard, with a full A-line skirt, a thigh-high slit and a sweep train.

The Claudette
Green wild grass with orange-red poppies scattered through it. The Claudette carries the same palette, moss green, cornflower blue and poppy orange, in a cowl-neck maxi with a soft sheen.

The Iris
A girl in a pink gown mid-swing through a deep blue-green garden. We printed the whole scene on a faux wrap midi with a princess waist and a pleated skirt that moves the way she does.
Available in other paintings: Van Gogh

One ceiling, two dresses
Lemoyne spent about three years on the ceiling of the Salon d'Hercule at Versailles. We took its sky blues and golden figures in two directions: a pleated maxi and an organza ballgown.

Organza ballgown, puff sleeves
Available in other paintings: The Starry Night, The Lady and the Unicorn
The Cora Corset
Swirling blues, gold stars and a crescent moon, woven as a tapestry and boned into a lace-up corset. Wear it over a white maxi skirt or with jeans.
Also from this painting: The Starry Night Cordelia, from last year's collection
The Lady and the Unicorn
Six tapestries, woven around 1500, rediscovered in a French château. The dress keeps their deep red ground, blue florals, birds and woodland animals, on a smocked cotton maxi with a lace-up front and pockets.
Available in other paintings: Van Gogh's Almond Blossom

The Daphne
Four dancers fix their straps in the wings, painted in blue-green against an orange and green ground. The Daphne puts them around a full midi skirt, under a draped strapless bodice with boning and a built-in bra.
