Once I figured out the correct size (it was a 2x, not an xxl!?!?) the dress looks perfect. I like to poof up the sleeves a lot by pushing the elastic closer to my armpit a bit. And there is a tiny bit of extra material in the torso, but it just looks like it fits, not like it is suffocating me. Other dresses I like totally fitted. This one looks elegant with a tiny bit extra material. I cannot wait to wear this!!! The reason it didn't fit me in the smaller sizes is because I was going by bust size, but I should have been going by waist size.

I dreamed about this dress for a year! However, my true to size ran too small. In addition, the colors appear more muted in person than online. The purple base has a grey-ish undertone that makes it look more washed out and dull. I was also surprised by the fabric, which felt kind of cheap for the price. What I struggled with the most is how the pattern on the top was off center on the chest, which makes it look like a design flaw. If there is a symmetrical pattern it should be in the center, otherwise it makes it look like an awkward mistake. Or the top of the dress that I received would have looked better if there was no symmetrical pattern. What I did love most was the silhouette and cut of the dress. The overall design is fabulous. It was the coloring of the grey purple fabric, the awkward placement of the symmetrical pattern on the top, and fabric texture that led me to return it. It's still a beautiful dress, but it just wasn't what I had expected.
