Elsa Dress

I absolutely love everything about this dress. Blue is my favorite color, and the shimmery, small sequins and lovely embroidered trailing florals create such a beautiful and unique look. When I spin, it shimmers like snow. The straps offer a good amount of support and the neckline is so stylishly modest and perfect. The dainty sleeves are a great detail. I’m so comfortable in this dress, I went to an event for several hours, and felt great the whole time. One lady said I looked like the princess in the Enchanted movie. Medium was a perfect fit for me, and my usual size.

I had recently met someone new and this year both of us were going to be alone for Christmas so he invited me to come over for Christmas eve dinner. After dinner I had asked him if he would indulge me and dance with me while I was still in my sparkly winter princess-y dress and he agreed. There is this one song that is my favorite. The Pas De Deux Nutcracker ballet. I’ve always found that song the epitome of Christmas season romantic. Growing up there was this animated version called The Nutcracker Prince and in that movie the Nutcracker is uncle Drosselmeyer’s nephew who was turned into a nutcracker by a spell and he gives the nutcracker to Clara for Christmas and he basically he comes to life as a doll and takes Clara to the land of the dolls and they dance together and he asks her to say and be his princess, etc. Hence, growing up I always dreamed of that sort of thing, dancing with “a prince” and him professing his love to me to make a magically romantic Christmas. After he had agreed to dance I put that song on and we slow danced together. Near the end of the song I hear him sniffling. I look at him and he's sniffling and tearing up and I ask him if he's ok and he says "yea" and I say to him "I hope they are happy tears?" and he said they were. He then told me that he loves me and wants a relationship with me. I had to ask him if he meant it, I thought I was dreaming.
