I'm a fan of all lengths of dresses, even when they're intended for fall or winter wear. I love pairing shorter dresses with knee-high boots - I think it gives such a good look, and that's exactly how I style this dress when I wear it. This could be considered too short for plenty of women based on your preferences, but it's not too short for me, and I'm 5'9"! I wear this to work in a business professional environment all the time and have no issues with it. With the bodice being completely smocked, I did opt to size down from a L to a M in this to keep a really fitted look. Just keep in mind that the neckline is stabilized, so there's no stretch along the v-neck
